I have a Radeon DDR LE on a KDS VS195e 19" monitor. I used a V3 2k on this monitor for a year no problems. A month ago, I got a Radeon DDR LE. I used Raid-On tweaker to re-enable hyper-z. I put a fan on the heatsink, and clocked the Core-Memory to 166/166 and even 183/183 sometimes (I have lots of fans in my case). The Radeon has been working fine for a month now.
About a week ago (a bit less), sometimes in 2d (mostly in Windows environment, or when surfing the web), the screen seems to flicker a bit, for about 2-4 seconds. Sometimes, it flickers like this a couple of times in a row, then is fine for awhile (an hour or two). Sometimes, I have the computer on and it doesn't flicker at all for hours and hours. I haven't noticed the monitor flicker in any 3d game.
I have tried reducing the refresh rate to 85 Hz (from 100) and clocking the Radeon back to 143/143, but I get flickering about the same amount: two to four times an hour (or so).
If anyone has a Radeon with the same problem, or knows what is causing this please let me know (or maybe it's my KDS monitor but I doubt it, it never did this before ever).
