So I've had this monitor for about a year an half with no issues what so ever. I installed Vista about 3 weeks ago, and it continued to work fine after that point.
Yesterday, I'm working on my computer and I start to smell burnt plastic. You know the smell ("Oh @#$%, my PC is overheating!"). However, upon digging into my tower, there's no faulty/burnt HW. I then realize that it's my monitor that's emitting the smell. At this point, the display is still showing fine.
So, I power down the monitor, let it rest for a few, turn it back on... and the the same thing occurs. At that point I just figured I'd give it an overnight break. I shut down the PC and monitor. This morning I come in, turn on my PC and monitor and I get the smell again. Only this time, my monitor just keeps flashing at me. I can see the Vista desktop for about .5 seconds at each flash.
I've tried both DVI and VGA connections from my monitor to PC. I get the same thing each time. In fact, the monitor just keeps flashing at even if its disconnected from the PC. Also, I can only turn it off by unplugging it.
I have a pretty good feeling that this thing is just fried. I just don't have any clue how to trouble shoot a monitor in this situation.
Here's a link to the monitor in question:

I would appreciate any help or tips.
Thanks...
