Monitor does not always turn on ?

Hi Guys

Just recently my monitor does not turn on every time I boot up. I have to try a few times and switch outputs on my card (DVI)

Have taken my ram out and V card and put them back in again, anyone have an idea if this is the monitor or what? :-(

Not great since I have coursework deadlines looming

Best thing you can do is get a hold of a differnt monitor and see if your still having the same problems. If so then the video card may be the issue.
 
This may help power down pc unplug monitor from wall leave unplugged for a minute or so plug monitor back in fire up pc had the same issue with dvi hp w2207h monitor and this fixed it. Also new drivers from nvidia may be a help if you havent updated in a while.
 
It seems when the monitor does not switch on, the inputs, i.e G15 keyboard and MS wirlress mouse do not light up, does this point to motherboard ?
