Well i think my monitor is starting to show signs of age. Every 6 months or so, i find that i have to increase my contrast and brightness by a little bit to get it to my personal perference. Also, i notice now that my monitor isn't displaying true whites or bright whites anymore. It is sort of a yellowish-white. My other value-end viewsonic monitor does this too, but it is only 5 months old. Now i am looking for a new monitor, and my question is are there any monitors out there that can display truly bright whites and uniform color that don't break the bank (<$500).

well i messed around with everything and it turns out that the landing controls on my monitor alleviated the problem. I think i'm gonna get an lcd soon anyways.
