Monitor display slightly resizes every once in a while. What would cause that?

I thought it was me at first but its not. It resizes by about an 1/8" or less but it does. The display is always in view. As though the video card hiccuped but I suspect the monitor because it is the hardware that controls picture position. It happens really fast. The connections are okay but I haven't opened the box. The machine has an ATI 3D RageII vid card, 233MMX pentium and TTX monitor all from back in 97.

Can anyone guess at what would cause this?

possilbbly drivers for the video card, they have been know to do that.

Try replacing the monitor or video card to see if the problem goes away. If it does, you know what is causing the problem...
