Monitor Discoloration

I recently purchased a new 19" NEC FE950+ monitor from Dell.com

While adjusting to it's great quality and clarity, I noticed a very slight discoloration on the bottom left corner of the screen. Although it's almost unnoticable, I do wonder if something is physically damaged. The monitor is a Flat screen Aperature Grille...it's wonderful except that I notice a little pale yellowness in the corner :-/

Hit the deguass button on it and see if it goes away, if not, I would RMA it. I had a monitor do that, but it was because my speakers where too close. Check to make sure yours are not.

There is an adjustment on my Sony CPD-G420 called "landing" which allows you to adjust the colours at the corners of the screen. See if your monitor has a smilar setting.

Yep if the the purity or deguass controls don`t work you only have two choices,RMA or live with it,my LG has a very slight colouration in the corner only on white background which you can just about see it,was not worth the RMA hassle for me being it`s very hard to notice.

yeah, i only see the faint color when it's only on a white background...i guess it would be too much hassle like you said, but just knowing i have a little messed up corner on my new monitor hurts me, hehe

What might have caused this though? I moved away my speakers, but it doesn't change...neither does degauss
It's very very fade color of pale yellow...
