i konw how to do it through the bios screen during boot up, but is there a way to check the temp while running windows?

even im lazy to post a link for that when i reply...

u can save 1539% of the time if u do google urself.....

Is there a way to determine the accuracy of these programs?

Smartguardian for my DFI nf4 (I presume is either written by DFI or nvidia) reports cpu temperatures that are roughly 10-12 degrees Celsius lower than what Everest reports on the cpu. Not sure which one to believe. I can understand maybe a 1-2 degree discrepency, but 10-12 is huge.

Edit:
Smartguardian - 32-33 cpu idle
Everest - 44-45 cpu idle

I was just going to ask this question when I found this during a search.

This question was asked years ago and much has changed.

What is the best (and SAFEST) utility to monitor CPU temp from inside Win XP? By safest I mean one that won't mess up my bios or hd. I'm not sure if it matters but I have an AMD 64 on an MSI K8N Neo2 motherboard.

Thanks,

Glenn.
