Yeah, genuine cotton flannel is super soft and not likely to scratch. Like I said, think of thick, fleecy baby's pajamas and that's what it feels like. You want to avoid polyester or nylon for obvious reasons (abrasiveness). I use old flannel shirts to polish the wax after I've applied it to my car, so that should give you an idea of its 'non-scratchitude.'
Most fabric stores are HUGE and have more fabrics than you can shake a stick at. Just find a clerk, ask her to point you towards wherever they have their cotton flannel, and check out what they have. You should be able to find something not only soft but reasonably 'non-ghetto' looking too.

And it should be dirt cheap -- I think the last time I bought some flannel (years ago) it was just a few dollars for a square yard. Throw in a couple bucks to have it sewn on three sides, and you're good to go. Like I said before, should be under $10 easy. :thumbsup:
This is in the U.S., BTW. Not sure where you are, but I can't imagine such things varying much, price-wise, wherever you are.
