MONITOR color problem +degauss

i bought a new monitor a month ago, a samsung syncmaster 753s, 17"
when i first power it up, i get strange color on the screen, there's a round or oval shape of color on the screen,
i didnt know what to do at 1st but then i found the degauss button, n it was back to the usual color that i expected,
then 2 days later, the same round shape of color appear again, n i have to degauss it again,

another 3 days later the same thing happened, and almost every sevral days interval, i get the same problem,
the problem is, i see some forums treads saying that they have not degauss their monitor since the 1st time they bought it, some over 2 years, i dont understand y my monitor has to be degaussed so often,

another thing that surprises me is that when i power up the monitor i get the color thing, isnt it suppose to degauss when the monitor is powered up ?

i have a canon bubblejet 210s right next to it n a pair of ATP3 near it, the ATP is suppose to be magnetically shielded, so what else could be the cause of it ??????????????
help, n i might not be able to swap the monitor for another 1 from the shop coz the support here in malaysia is not that good

help appreciated

CK, I've never had to use the deguass feature on my monitor and I've had it for well over a year. Have you tried moving your ATP's away from your monitor to see if they might in fact be the problem?
