monitor choice dilemma

I am buying a 22" monitor, I really liked this one: SAMSUNG 2253BW Black 22"
http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16824001268

everything looks pretty ideal to me, it's got a great look, nice performance, although price a little higher than the popular Acer 22" model.

except when i was checking to see if it meets TCO03 standard, and it turns it doesn't. Maybe some of you guys don't care about this, but i am worried about the amount of radiation this monitor will have, and the harmful effect it's gonna do to the user.

so, really, how big of a deal is the TCO03 thingy?
what's your 0.02$?

thx in adv.

Wait...so YOU say that YOU think that TCO03 standard is important to YOU and then you ask US how important it is?

Just put some aluminum foil over the jewels and you'll be good

I have yet to see any scientific evidence that radiation from monitors where harmful.

To that end, I fail to see what type of radiation would come from a LCD monitor, except from visible light, and possibly magnetic fields from the PSU. Neither of which is harmful.

The dangerous monitor radiation thing seems to be bullshit, IMO.

I bet you get more radiation from sitting behind a TV, walking underneath a electricity cable, standing next to a electric car, etc. I wouldn't give a rats ass about it tbh.
