Monitor chirping?

Ok, well it's 0700, and I've got one of those huge 21" crt's (hitachi) class A used.... however i'm justting here, and suddenly the thing starts chirping. Like little bits of chirping. Not like super loud, but like small... as if you cannot hear it if it was a busy enviornment. The thing about this hitachi monitor is, that it never goes off off, it like stays in a orange/amber sleep mode. The only time it goes really off, is if you unplug the power source. No it's not a creek in my desk or plastic, it's like random chirps. The sound appears to be comming from the right side (facing the screen) on the bottom even when the plug is pulled, any ideas? Should I like be worried it's going to catch fire or something?

Sounds to me like a capacitor going bad, as they can hold charge even after disconnecting from a power source (afaik).
