monitor calibration software

i got photoshop cs2 the other day and it says my monitor profile is messed up and i need to run my monitor calibration software again.

umm....i never ran monitor calibration software that i am aware of...

how do i fix this? is there free software?

The best calibration standard for color is Pantone. Take a look at this device - a lot cheaper than standard Pantone devices and software.

I can calibrate your TV with color bars, unfortunately... not your CRT monitor.

You can only do rudimentary calibration with diagrams around the web. Otherwise, you need a colorimeter like the Gretag-Macbeth Eye One Display 2 that makes finer adjustments to your video card's output and profiles the results.

its an lcd monitor...


well are there premade profiles that i can through into photoshop or something? i have a dell 2005fpw. it says my monitor profile is messed up.
