Hi all, just finished building my overkill gaming machine. I have about $600 left and wondering what could I get to improve this already great build. I looked at VR, but I don't think the technology is quite there yet.

Here is a link to my build:

Awaiting your suggestions! Thanks.

That is a very... weird build.

If you're serious I'd suggest returning that 980 Ti (apparently $900?) and buying a pair of 1070s ($600 ea) instead. That puts you in the hole another $300, but gets you a much better GPU setup, especially for triple displays.

Maybe return two of the displays and buy a matched set of three instead, too.

I don't think the motherboard can do 2 graphic card at x16. It will drop at x8. Will I still see a big difference? If yes, I will go for it.

That's normal. It will be fine.

The 1070 is slightly faster than a 980 Ti. With two of them in SLI, you should see anywhere from no benefit to almost double the framerate - it depends on the game and how well the game works in SLI mode.

Generally, I'd expect SLI 1070s to beat a 980Ti by 50%+ in most SLI-capable games. (Which is, for the record, most of them these days. Unless you're playing old titles.)

That's a really odd looking build. Why buy a 480GB Intel SSD for $500 when the 1TB 850 EVO only costs $420? Why not just buy a second 1TB EVO? And what's the other 240GB SSD for? Like the other guy said, return that 980Ti for a 1080.
