Being a Cleveland Indians can have its up and its down. This is certaintly a huge down. Money Ramirez is a good hitter, damn good hitter. The Indians have lost a lot with him. But, he's a poor outfielder and his clutch skills need to be looked at, IMO. Money Ramirez should be happy in Boston, that's going to be a DANGEROUS line-up, add Pedro into the mix, scares me. But, as usual, I'm sure the Yanks will pervail :)

The Yankees are an over-the-hill club. Mussina's not going to dig them out of the mess they're going to be in next season.

The sox have Pedro, Saberhagen, Pena, Rose and Crawford starting, and guys like Derek Lowe and Tom Gordon backing them up.

And now they've got Ramirez and Carl Everett in the outfield, and Garp and Offerman in the infield.

It's gonna be a great season, I can can feel it already. :D

The Sox are an over-the-hill club. Manny's not going to dig them out of the mess they're going to be in next season. Yup, and we lost 7 games in a row to end the season, backed into the playoffs, were counted out at the start, going to get taught a lesson by the younger, hungrier A's, and lost the first game of the series.

<< The sox have Pedro, Saberhagen, Pena, Rose and Crawford starting, and guys like Derek Lowe and Tom Gordon backing them up. >>

The Yanks have El Duque, Pettite, Clemens, and Mussina starting, and guys like Mendoza and Rivera backing them up.

<< And now they've got Ramirez and Carl Everett in the outfield, and Garp and Offerman in the infield. >>

And now they've got Justice and Bernie in the outfield, and Jeter and Brosius in the infield. (note: in your mention of Offerman, I'm sure you were talking about his "D" not his "O" hence my mention of Brosius)

I can say the same.
It's gonna be a great season

Offerman had an on base percentage of .350 last season -- and that was with him playing hurt. In the previous two years he was up to .390 and .400+

He's easily one of the best second basemen in the American league, just for his offense. His "D" is none too shabby either. Out of courtesy I won't mention Chuck Knoblauch. Where he decides to throw the ball is his business.

Out of courtesy I won't mention 1918, or wait was it 1912? Damn it's been over 80 years, I can't remember anymore.

Yankee fans crack me up. They brag about how great the team is and how many championships they have won but considering the payroll they have, they damn well better win every year!

I'm not putting down the team, just the fans that brag.

Yankee fan, "Well lets see, how about we compare my $3000 Thunderbird 1.2Gh DDR GTS Ultra equipped rig to YOUR $2000 P3 800 system? What's that, not a fair comparison? So what, that's YOUR problem."

Regarding Ramirez, he's not the brightest wick to come along. Remember a few years ago when Jose Mesa (who was married at the time) was arrested for sexually assulting some women in a Cleveland nightclub? Guess who was Mesa's club hopping buddy when he was in the bars chasing women? You guessed it, Manny. It seems that they did that kind of stuff all the time.

I hope one thing for Boston and Ramirez, I hope they get it together and kick NY's back side. I don't care about Boston, I just hate the Yankees.

George is not breaking any rules, he's simply taking advantage of his financial situation. If any other team were in the same position they would do the same.

Hmm, looks to me like the Braves payroll is only $8 million less than the Yanks.
How many championships have the "hotlanta(more like COLDlanta)" Braves won and in how many tries? Yeah just what I thought, the Buffalo Bills of the MLB.

You and all of them Boston fans will be hoping the same thing. Just like they've been hoping it for the past 80 years.
