I've seen plenty of people with money and NO class. Even though they try, it's just not natural, they can't act the part and generally, it fcuks up who they really are (.com millionaires are good examples). Just because they can afford nice things doesn't == class. Just my opinion.
 
sure it can. you can spend big bucks on fancy clothes, ettiquette lessons, etc, but it will never be the same as some people just have "class". You dont have to be wealthy to get/have it. Its the way you act, treat others, behave...
its too bad more people dont have any.

did anyone watch "the simple life" or whatever it was with that hilton and richie girl ... perfect example of wealth without class ... these two seriously are just straight out bad people ... or rather, they are both quintesential "american women" ... i watched half an episode and was completely disgusted with their behavior. And to think that a show about them made prime time TV .... something is very wrong with our culture if that sort person is given such attention on TV and not made an example of.

I didn't check the link before quoting him, but if there was no nudity banning him is pretty lame.

After all, there are entire threads about The Simple Life.

You don't need class when you have money. That's my opinion.

You can buy love, you can buy friends you can buy almost anything you want if you have money.
 
Money can buy you class - if you choose to do so. However most times a rude, crude (or whatever you want to call a person without class) suddenly gets a ton of money, that person has no reason to completely change his/her lifestyle. That person is having a lot of fun, and is quite a success (ie all the money). Why should he/she want to change?

Class to me is not in a snobbish way, but rather just being a little more than a decent human being. Of course in every culture, the definition of all things are different. What we consider class could be understood as being hostile in a remote tribe somewhere in Mozambique. So universally accepted, what is your definition of class?

Great example. Growing up in New Orleans, I got firthand experience with the Copelands. The lights, the powerboat races, and his car collection in a glass warehouse on the interstate for everyone to see -- the guy has no class. Oh, and getting in a fistfight in the middle of Mortons? Real classy.
