I am starting to realize it actually is used as a racist term (I just got to listen to the video).

Combining that with this cop's alleged history, I guess he might deserve to be fired.

Yes, as did I. I had no idea this was something that existed, so please excuse my ignorance earlier in the thread. After seeing that and reading some other information on the subject, it is completely understandable why this is an issue and why the racist jackass was fired.
