Not wide, but it's my desktop.

using a mac is a sin.

yeah....what is going on!?

I do have a question, you vista users with 3 monitors, you guys seem to stretch the task tray aall the way across...is that a vista thing? cause my XP machines dont do that, and when I hook my vista laptop up i dont see that..

More recent Nvidia and ATI drivers have a "span" option in the advanced ATI/Nividia display properties. (Yes, it works in XP) This makes Windows think you've got one 3200x1600 display instead of 2 1600x1200 displays and allows you to set 1 desktop image that will cover both screens. Usually this is also where you find the option for mirroring your display. Downside to the "span" choice is that your full-screen games will also believe you've got a 3200x1600 display and center your game with those wonderful bezels smack in the middle.

Another choice is to use a program like UltraMon along with the "extend my desktop onto this monitor" option in the standard Windows display properties. UltraMon will create a 2nd taskbar on the other monitor and allow you to customize various things including seperate desktop images for each monitor. Running games full screen in this configuration will result in the game seeing the resolution of your primary monitor only.
