Since the MSI board doesnt come out till monday i have been wondering if it is a good deal to order it form monarch computers. From what i heave heard so far the MSI board is gong to be the best 939 out with Nforce3 so i am willing to wait 2 days to order it.

The moncarh computers website has this thing where you can order a combo with your CPU and Memory installed so when it comes you dont have to do anything. Anyone try this or have any good experiances? Does it sound like a good deal?

hmm maybe ill try ordering my Memory cpu and MB from them then. They are listing the MSI for 8/9 while newegg doesnt even have it up anymore.

i just want to get this over with..my 6800GT is coming on monday and i want it to be in its new home soon.

after reading the ATOT doom 3 specs for mid range i am rethinking some of the pricing i have done...they do it for cheap! True they use a 3400 instead of a 3500 but that only should save a hundred or so...

intended specs:

Amd64 3500+
MSI MB 939 Socket
1G(2 x 512) Corsair XMS series 3200 or The new ballistiks..(I dont know anything about memory or overclocking so whater lol ?)
160 WD SATA Hard Drive
6800GT EVGA
NEC/MITSUBISHI DP930SB-BK 19" SuperBright Diamondtron CRT Monitor ?RETAIL
NEC 8x Dual Layer DVD

Its the DFI you want, not the MSI. I dont know who led you to believe that the MSI was going to be " Thee " board. Hell, most AMD veterans stay clear of MSI at all costs, to many failures.

LOL, ETA is changed to August 27th. Looks Like I wont be upgrading for a few more months at the rate things are becomming available. You just have to get real lucky or forget it and wait. By the time I get my hands on some of this nicer equipment Nforce 4 with PCI-e will be available to the lucky few along with the pci-e 6800 line. In all my years of buying parts I have never had even close to half as much trouble buying a part. Definately getting on my nerves now. After waiting so long to upgrade and finally knowing what I would like to buy today if I could but cant really really really sucks. Also knowing that I may be waiting another 2 months or longer while the value of having it now depreciates greatly but the price stays the same is beyond annoying.

Forget the past, MSI's nF3 250 boards, S754 or S939, are great. See Wes' review here and here.

RadioHead84 - Not sure where you're looking, but on Monarch's site they show an 8/27 ETA. I was looking for that board to show up too, but I'm starting to think I will wait for the D0 A64's to start showing up in a few months.

DFI does not have a 939 board in there lineup. They barely have any 754 boards for that matter.

What I mean Radiohead is that buy now if you can because in two months you will pay the same price and have lost that 2 months you could have been playing. So, the overall value of the products has gone down since it will be two more months into its limited lifetime as best product till the next big fish is out... Those with the MSI Neo 2 Platinum Nforce 3 939 socket and a Gforce 6800GT Gainward etc are very lucky and most likely you will pay what they paid even in two or three more months. So, like everyone else and their mother looking for those fairly priced products you will be waiting in line unless you get lucky. When available at a fair price they sell out in minutes. You have to be lucky as hell to be around when someone posts a link or you find one etc.

I've ordered $1000's worth of computer components from monarc, and I always get fast reliable service. my first choice is newegg, but I still use monarch a lot.

They have a LanParty lineup coming out. They have a controlled release pattern since they can only do about 6-10 retail boards a year.
