I have a brand new one and it doesn't turn at all. It only has two wires BTW. Don't see a broken connection and it is a Sunon 8CM.

I know this probably sounds obvious but I would guess it is defect.

Oh yeah, you should only need 2 wires, 1 yellow, 1 black
