Mole removal options. Doctor or homemade? Experiences?

A little bit unusual question for ATOT. Does anyone have any experience with mole removal?

To say that I've been cursed with moles is an understatement. I've got very pale skin and tons of moles. I've got them in all variety and shapes. I've got flat ones, protruding ones, small ones, big ones, and worst part of all there are so many of them and they are all over my body. I've got probably about 8 I want to remove from my front torso and another 8 I want to remove from my back, and probably another 3-5 on my hands and 1 on my neck. The only good thing I guess is that while I do have two very small moles on my forehead, they are very small and are almost unnoticeable. *SIGH*

Anyway, I want to do something about it. What are my options? I've been reading some stuff and basically there are three options, either surgery (may leave scars, which is probably still better than protruding moles I have right now), laser treatment (ineffective on protruding moles), and homemade remedies. Does anyone have any personal experience with this stuff? Has anyone removed moles using laser/surgery? Did it leave scars? How much did it cost? Has anyone tried homemade remedies such as pineapple juice/castor oil/garlic/vinegar/etc or products such as dermatend? Do homemade remedies/dermatend even work?

Any input would be helpful. I hate my moles and I'm always a little bit embarrassed on the beach because of them. I want to get rid of them for good.

Are you sure they are moles? They could be skin tags. You can just cut off skin tags with a pair of scissors.

Do you have health insurance? I had a mole on my chin that I kept cutting from shaving. I called my doctor, he sent me to a dermatologist, and they burned it off my first visit. Even if you don't have health insurance, dermatologists have a SAFE method to get rid of them, and it helps reduce scarring. Taking matters into your own hands is probably a bad idea. These aren't warts.

Yes, I do have health insurance, however I'm not sure if it covers mole removals or not. My general impression was that most health insurance companies do not cover mole removals because they are considered cosmetic surgery. I probably wouldn't mind paying out of my pocket as long as the total is not astronomical, keep in mind I want 15-20 moles removed. However, I have read that lasers do not work on protruding moles, and about half of my moles are protruding ones. I've also read that dermatend stuff is less likely to leave scars as opposed to surgery. This is why I'm asking for personal experience, whether it's with homemade remedies like dermatend or lasers or surgery. Any personal experience would be helpful. Anything to get rid of these stupid moles.

This thing has happened to my cousin. The laser treatment worked for him but only temporarily. It has just been months and has started growing again. 🙁

I'm EXTREMELY spectical of ointments sold over the internet, but don't really know about that stuff.
