MOHAA crashing with Epox8KHA+/Radeon 8500

SOMEONE HELP!! I posted this over in Video too, but I thought you guys in here might help too!

My gracious wife bought me MOHAA for my birthday, but I can't play it!! ARG!

I just installed a new mobo, processor and memory, hoping to boost my performance. However, MOHAA crashes anytime I try to load from the missions screen.

Here's what happens. I load MOHAA. I see the EA intro screen. I see the opening scene for the game (looks great!!). I get to the main menu fine. I go to the missions screen. I click on "training" and it begins to load. Somewhere in the middle of loading.... it crashes! I get this blurry, fuzzy error message that I can't read.

Any ideas?

My rig is listed below... the easiest thing to blame is my Radeon 8500....

Anyone got some good hints on BIOS settings for an Epox 8KHA+ board running the Radeon 8500??

MOHAA has the habit under XP to flash a network sth window every time you load training or a new game and gets stuck there. If this is your trouble just press Escape button an d it will load normally. Hope I helped....

Great game BTW:

Tried latest vid. drivers? Patch for the game?

I have the Epox 8KHA+ board as you, but have Ti200.....

Once again great game, just wished there was more and more to it, never ending.....

Normally that's a problem w/the video drivers. Try and d/l the newest drivers because I think it uses OpenGL too. I too love that game ... good luck!

have you guys used the OpenGL program that comes with MOHAA?? It's that link to a website that tries to set up OpenGL for you... i have not used it.

are there any special settings for the Radeon 8500?
