While the Halo deal for $9.99 may be dead, there still some great games for clearance price at the CC B&M stores.

Thanks goes out to Borg20001 and FW:

MOH Spearhead expansion pack $4.99
BF1942: Road to Rome expansion pack $4.99
Splinter Cell - $14.98
Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield - $14.98
GTA 3 - $14.98

Lots of other games like Homeworld 2 and Savage on sale as well. Be sure to get a price check, as most games already have clearance stickers on them, but don't reflect the true price.

I picked up Spearhead today for $4.99...the clerk was shocked at the price. :D

i got in on Star Trek Elite Forces II (the original was pretty good using the Q3 engine) for $4.99.

GREAT GRAPHICS for OLDER videocards (mine's a Radeon 8500, waiting for a 6800u)!!! i believe its the Quake 3 engine on steroids. :D

also . . . Aliens vs. Predator 2 Gold $4.99 is highly recommended (for even older cards - say 7000 Radeon series but looks nice with aa/af with newer cards) - playing as the alien and being able to travel on the ceiling and walls exactly like on the floor is an experience.

007 Nightfire $2.99 isn't too bad but i never finished it.

i believe Max Payne II is olso reduced to $19.99 - it's still pretty new from Q4 '03 (and $30 elsewhere) - superb graphics (even for an 8500; unbelievably good with the 9700 class) ;)

DOES ANYONE KNOW? - Is Lord of the Rings: War of the Ring, the "good" one?

I picked up
Battlefield 1942: The Road to Rome expansion $4.99
Contract J.A.C.K. $4.99
Command & Conquer: Renegade $4.99

I wanted
Universal Combat $5 or $10
Blood Rayne $5 or $10
but UC was not on sale at all and back to reg $20
and BR was sale priced at $15, reg $20.

The salesman said that sales often end on Wednesday.
I thought they always ran from Sun through Sat.
He said there could be special reduced prices on top of sale prices with one or the other ending on Wed.

Can anyone say anything about Temple of Elemental Evil?
Savage appeared to be online play only.
Halo was $29 or $39 in Danvers, MA.
I may check another CC for some of the other titles listed in this thread.

Is 007 Nightfire $2.99 the one with her in the orange pant suit or the blue dress coat?

Thanks for telling me about Soldier of Fortune 2 :). One of my buds loves this game and now I can utterly destroy him in it.

Danvers, MA had several copies of Halo available listed at the usual 39.99.
I didn't ask them to scan it.
They had tiny sale signs on most of the other games.
These signs were losse and laying all over the place.

Saugus, MA had no sale signs or price tags.
They had many copies of Halo.
There was a special sign over Halo claiming a special, new price of 29.99.
The sales associat told me Halo was currently $9.99.

I picked up Beyond Good & Evil for $4.99 which was at least 10 or 15 at the danvers store, regular 39.99.

Thanks for the tip on 007 Nightfire. I picked it up for $2.99.
I thought it was the chic spy game. She's not 007. I should have known better.

Imation,

I checked at a CC B&M late last week and all the prices mentioned above in this thread have been bumped back up by $5 or so. So basically there are no hot deals anymore for any of the pc software.

Case in point, C&C Renegade is back up to $9.99 (you can check this out at the webpage as well).

So it looks like the deal is dead - anyone else have a post-mortem that's different?

Hi I feel very sad that I didn't get in on this deal when it was available because I work in the computer dept. at circuit city and saw them and was like yea I will get it later but never did and now I want a lot of the ones listed and it's to expensive. Wish I jumped on the deal but hey I got in on a great deal yesterday at circuit city. I got the pc game Die Hard ????? (something) plaza and it's black and shows a picture of a man on a rope with glasses breaking into a window. It was listed for 29.99 and it rang up as 1.99 and I got it for 0.85 cents out the door with my discount. I was up from 10pm till like 4am today playing the game and it's great and everything. I am going to play more of it tonight. If anyone knows of any more good pc game deals at circuit city please let me know. Thanks

That's crazy overpricing on the regular price for that game. The manufacturer had an msrp price drop on it like 5 months ago to 19.99. Sells for that at most everywhere I've been if I see it.
