MOGA controller for mobile gaming

That looks like a nice controller, if I could have picked it up for $35 on Black Friday like I did my PS3 controller then it would have been my preference. I like that you can use batteries with it, so I don't have to worry about charging it off my computer or anything like the PS3 controller.

Strictly in terms of battery and charging, I would take a PS3 controller over this. You don't have to use a computer to charge one, any wall outlet works fine (with a USB adapter which you should have if you have a phone).

I am now considering buying this. Thanks

edit: oh damn, its 50 bucks? well it does seem to be worth it. seems high quality. a bit more than I would like to pay though.

yeah price is steep. walmart has it for 44.96. i guess the games have to be moga compatible. sucks that there is no directional pads. i will probably bite and pick it up today

Actually, PS3 controllers don't charge off of just any USB wall plug. They require specific pins to be present, at least this was my experience when I actually owned a PS3.

alright, well i bit the bullet and picked this up. it is simply amazing. once you have it paired, games run fluidly. i have been playing NFS Most Wanted and PacMan. the build quality is outstanding and it holds the GN2 in place fine.

i downloaded fhe SuperGNES Lite emulator to see how it handles roms and it worked too. the emulator has to support moga and this one does. to get emulators to work, you have to download a 3rd party moga driver from the play store. it works flawlessly.

toys r us has it for $41.99. well worth it

well, I PM'd ya eagle but I figure I might as well bump this in case anyone else is interested...

how's that moga holdin up for you? I'm trying to decide between it and the PS3 controller with a GameKlip. This will be used just for playing emulator RPGs during my 15 minute breaks at work. Pretty sure I want to go with the moga just because i'd rather use batteries than have to recharge a ps3 controller all the time. I'll be using the dev app you linked too.

The pro controller looks nice, but it also looks a lot larger. I think for portable use the standard moga controller is perfect.

liking it, but i would have waited if i knew that PRO version was coming out. the bigger size and the directional pad is what i want. playing NFS, Dead Trigger, and Six Guns just feels right on a controller vs touch screen

I use mine for emulators also but to be able to use it for anything other than supported games, you need to root your phone.
