Modular PS cable

The one thing that I forgot to order, is another modular molex cable to connect some upgrades. I can order it from Antec, but that would mean another delay waiting on it. I searched CompUSA for this and found nothing, but then I'm not sure if I used the right keywords. I'm sure that it varies from one area to another, but is there a national chain of stores that I might find this locally?

Thanks, but I already have some adapters that I could use. But, I have so many components plugged into the 2 molex cables out of the PS, that I thought that I should have another to prevent any kind of overloading. But, then I don't really know what the internal distribution in the PS is. There is 2 12V rails, but do these go to all of the outputs at once?

If you have a modular psu then it should come with the necessary modular cables so that there are not any exposed connections where they connect to the psu chassis. There are a lot of multi-rail psu's that are actually single railed units. A lot of dual rail psu's claim to have the 12v1 going to the 4 or 8 pin +12v lead for the cpu and the other rail for everything else. There really is no standardization that all mfg's follow and it's annoying IMHO.

It only came with 2 molex cables, 2 SATA cables, 2 PCIe cables and, of course 1 ATX cable. Since I don't use PCIe or the second SATA cable, that leaves 1 PS connector open.

I doubt that would help, because it was only a text link, without any pictures. I wasn't 100% certain which cable to order anyway. One was called an aux connector with cable, and another was called a molex connector with cable. They both sound like they are for the same purpose.

EDIT: Unless "aux" is what those little connectors like that goes to a floppy is called?

Right now, I'm thinking about cutting the connector off the PCIe cable or the SATA cable, and attaching a molex connector...if I can find one?

EDIT: Even this wouldn't be too great, unless there are molex connectors that can be attached mid cable. I have some SATA connectors that do this, but I haven't seen a molex connector like that.

Should be some here.

It sounds like you are wanting something that plugs directly into the PS itself. I have 3 different modular PSs, and all the connections to the unit itself are different for every manufacturer.

I may have to resort to something like that, but I was hoping to find something locally, to avoid the delay in ordering. Since I only use money orders, it takes around 2 weeks to receive anything from an online order.
