A poll/neffage forum? I mean, a little neffage in OT is expeted, after all, OT was created out of nef-dom. But it's getting a tad extreme IMO. Can we have a forum just for polls and other pointless crap? Then only the people who like pointless crap would go visit the "Pointless Crap Forum"

I kinda fear the threads are an outwrd reflection of the inner reality. If people haven't seen thought or had to deal with meaningful ideas, how can one expect them to have anything meaningful to say. One thing we could do without, in my opinion, are polls. I could give a darn about how many people think this or that. I just want to hear a meaningful, well argued opinion. It seems to me, too, that it isn't cool to think about things deeply, like it's some kind of personality flaw. Superficial and glib is where it's at.

I find em fun myself. I'm quite curious as to what other people do/think. Doesn't really change the way I think, or do things, but I like to know anyway.

It's kinda like people watching. Sometimes that's just as fun as doing whatever it is you're at a place to do.

Personally I feel that life is too serious anyway. The last thing we need is to make this place more serious. I come here to relax, and enjoy myself, not to be all serious, and stressed out.

Besides anybody w/ over 8700 posts does not need to worry about how much others NEF.

I think you have answered your own question here. Your opinion may not be the same as others. I agree that most of the threads you pointed out are Nef threads. That's just my opinion.

Never did I say I would be the one to choose which threads were meaningless and which were not -- the mods do all their banning/locking/deleting subjectively, so why would this be any different?

Well, isn't that what the status quo is right now? Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems like you're not happy with how the mods are subjectively banning/locking/deleting posts. If you were satisfied, you would never have brought this topic up.

I also agree that there are many nef posts, but what may be a nef post to me, may be a post of utmost interest to another, so I keep the opinion to myself. The only exception in my mind is a post where one just has the word, 'nef' in it or something.

I think they're kind of interesting. Those particular two polls gave me an idea about the age range of the ATOT group. See? You say nef. I say interesting, silly interesting, but interesting nonetheless.
Do I need help? No. But thanks for implying that there's something wrong with me.

I agree. And I don't think it would require enforcement, nefs KNOW when they're neffing. Pretty much any personal question (what color are your eyes, first kiss, 'Breasts, Hips, Butt, or Legs?', etc) would go, any obvious neffing posts (my &quot;Sam I am&quot; post, for instance), etc. OT would still have some interesting stuff, but the ridiculous posts which are off topic even for an off topic area ....it would be nice if they moved away. There ARE (or were) some good, interesting OT posts in OT, but finding them amidst a pile of crap is a tough thing.
