is the rainforest any less important than the hungersite and breast cancer sites that are advertised? you let them stay, so why kill the rainforest thread. i am by no means a treehugger or anything, but the people should be able to discuss this topic just as much as anything else.

my view is brazil does belong to brazil, but when the fate of mankind lies in their hands that makes it my business, and that entitles me to have some say in teh matter as an american. if we were dropping nukes in arizona, you sure as hell would have something to say about it. similarly we should have a say in rainforsts. our world's future depends equally on each topic. nukes would be quicker and more catastrophic no doubt, but the end result of an uninhabitable planet are the same.

you didnt answer my question though. what makes this less 'on topic' than the hungersite threads? why this sudden discriminatory streak... it is for a good cause after all, why stifle it?

btw its annoying when you modify our posts instead of replying. i cant tell if you replied or not without explicitly checking the thread. i wonder if this is your way of trying to make a thread die a quiet death......
