Are you referring to the San Juaquin Valley that extends half the length of the state and is home to the richest agricultural soil in the world? I'm sure the air is much better in the East Bay with the 20 miles of oil refineries extending from Richmond to Antioch or the pure crisp air of the South Bay. The only stink coming from Davis would be the anti-antipersperent hippies working up a sweat romancing the trees.
