I guess the first thing is to ask is did he have any Heatware?

Where is he a member at?

If you paid $700.00 to someone with no Heatware, I would be worried.

If it is a member with a lot of Heatware, maybe he is out of town or something.

Need more details.

Also, what kind of money order did you send (USPS?)?

How long has it been since you called today, and did you leave a message? Maybe he is in meetings, doing something that would not allow him to call back for a few hours...or not have access to email.

I would have put this in the FS forum but,

it's only been 7 days since he got it, and thats alot of stuff to pack up. Since he's not responding, you might try a couple more times via e-mail and PM (check if he's been on AT) then you may want to check into reporting mail fraud and alerting him of this. It will cost alot to ship so he only made ~$600 so he's lost 1/2 of what he originally spent on it which does appear to be a trollish move (too good to be true) trollhunters might be more helpful than greensboro PD but I guess you'll find out as time goes by.

This is the thread

Sending that much money to a junior member is just plain stupid.

Anyways, if you sent a USPS money order, you can file fraud charges if he does respond, and since he probably cashed it, it will pretty easy for the Post Master to find him.

I don't think he will want to travel down this road.

Call him, leave a message that if he does not contact you back with 48 hours you will file fraud paperwork.

The USPS money order was a good idea. At least you can always get him for mail fraud if he doesn't send it.

I am at work, please forward me all your contact info, so I have it saved"

he sent you this pm or email and didn't include the tracking number in it even though he says he has it(or that he will send it in a few minutes)?

He said he was at work too, and last time he gave me the excuse he had the tracking number
at home.

i guess it's possible he is going to call someone at home to read him the tracking number.

I don't know what standart trading practices are, but I would have expected a tracking # as soon as possible. I would have let the buyer know the number as soon as I got it. The fact that it's been 2 days, and he hasn't provided it is fishy. Surely he went home last night, why didn't he send it then?

Also it's been a week since he has $$ in hand, and you still don't have a tracking #. Your right to worry, but he could just be dragging his feet.

What the hell is going on with this guy?
He wants my address because he said he lost all my info when he had to format
his main drive.

I thought it was required to set up a heatware/contact info in the sig to trade on the FS/trade forums. I guess not.

Doesn't he have the address on the shipping label?

I think he's stringing you alone, you asked for the number, what 3 times now?

I have his phone number but I won't publish it yet.

What's my steps besides contacting the local police where he lives, which is Greensboro, NC.

If you never resolve it after like a month...

Step 1) Gather pics of a hot pr0n chick
Step 2) Make fake website with pics advertising free/cheap sex and listing the phone number
Step 3) Tell him to give you the money or the site stays!

Haha.
