Just wanted to get this off my chest... I don't want to be the b!tchy whistleblower because it's not my place, but it really annoys me that some people are able to get away with things like this while the rest of us pay our dues and pick up their slack.

There are loopholes to reduce the amount but unless you have the best tax attorneys in the world you will have to pay some taxes. If you do not it is illegal.
 
Why oversea's accounts with linked credit cards should automatically be reported to the IRS. THe number of tax dodges in this country sickens me at times. But when they need the services/infrastructure, it had better be there. Just greedy and sick :|
 
ya, there is this big loop hole that sais if you disagree with the gov, you do not have to pay taxes.
 
So basically, he is sponging off of the rest of us when he uses any tax supported product or service.... Tell him I want my $2 ASAP.

Most likely he really isn't using a loophole, just hiding money overseas and using cash transactions for everything he can. The loophole is just something he uses to brag. Or he owns a large buisness and employs dodgy accountants.

It is illegal not to pay taxes. Easiest way to get around paying taxes is to deal only with cash. Virtually impossible to trace. You can also set up off-shore accounts among other loop-holes.

Interesting. I see this guy screwing himself over bigtime.

I'm assuming he has no insurance (aside from auto) because all that is reported to the gov't. If he expects medicare or medicaid to pay for him when he gets sick he's SOL.

its not a loophole, hes evading taxes. just because the gov't doesn't collect on all-cash businesses doesn't mean that you don't have to pay taxes on it. they got al capone on tax evasion, and he was all cash.

I would, a good friend trys to keep you honest just as much as he tries to cover for you.
 
It's funny you just posted this. I have met a few people that felt paying taxes was voluntary, so they don't do it.

The guy they learned it from runs a book store here in Las Vegas, http://www.paynoincometax.com/. The IRS just raided it yesterday and took all his stuff, LOL.
