Nick, You'd probably get more by parting it out piece by piece than trying to sell it whole.

You could probably get $50 for the mobo + proc + ram, I know I paid $25 for a 1GHz T-Bird and the ECS K7S5A is probably worth $25. You'll get nothing for the RAM, so just throw in the petty 128MB for free.

40GB you could probably get $20 - $30 for it, case + PSU probably another $20.

So that's $50 for Mobo, Proc, RAM + $25 HD Estimate + $20 Case and PSU. That's $95. The Rage and the Optical drives probably aren't worth selling, so I'd say $100 + shipping for the rig.

My brother gave me his old Athlon 1.2 w/256MB PC100 (no HDD though), and I stuck in a HDD and Ti4400 I had spare, runs NFS: U fairly nicely (all I have installed atm).
You can always use more computers.

I really think that you're being at least a little harsh... there was no harm in asking outside of FS/OT IMHO, and the rule wasn't clear enough for me to have "automatically known." I say cut the guy a break, especially since he's so nobly conceeding to your wishes.

Upgrade the video card and it would still make a fairly decent gaming system.

It's always nice to have an extra rig for when you have those surprise LAN parties with your friend's didn't know about the BYOR rule 😛

i don't mean anything harsh. if he meant his comment to me as harsh and he took it as harsh. that's him.

i didn't put up rolling eyes, or any pictures. he didn't either. so, im assuming he didn't mean anything flagrant. im not into flaming people or making them feel bad.
