LOL you are a very funny kid. Did you read the article? According to the German ruling, the moderators are responsible for any and all content posted on their site. They cannot PREVENT what someone posts, they can only do damage control. This law is saying that damage control is no longer enough.

??? Did any of you actually take a civics class in middle school? German ruling are NOT binding on US citizens in the United States. In fact, no rulings are except those made by US judges. Hell as a US citizen you can't even be brought up on charges of war crimes at the Hague.

Well Germany is already off the deep end in the censorship department. I hear many violent games simply can't be sold there anymore and that magazines can't review or post screenshots of them, etc.. It's no surprise they are trying to cripple the internet now as well. Although, for this particular law, there are already boards that keep posts invisible from normal members until they've been moderated.

Not always true.

1) If any aspect of my hosting is in Germany, I am liable.
2) IIRC, German courts can still get injunctions against my website from that country, even if both the servers and employees are in the US. I don't believe a foreign country could *easily* say shut my website down here in the US, but they could very easily block it from their entire country.
