Mods calling me a troll

I am going to send this to Derek Wilson as well as I am completely fed up with it.

bsobel has repeatedly harassed me and I have not addressed it up until now as I did not reach breaking point. He called me a troll more than once going back a few months, and also harassed me over my political opinion.

Tonight I was called a troll by Gillbot in this thread.

So I have one mod who hates on me for my political views and God knows what else, and now another because I don't think watercooling is worthwhile. Is this really what members should expect from the mods here?




OK that's enough everyone. You need to contact Derek Wilson from here on out over this subject.

Yeah, and I gave aigomorla his due respect for his excellent watercooling systems, and the advice he gives other members on the forums.

I can refuse to believe whatever I want. It doesn't make me a troll, and it certainly doesn't give the mods the right to call me one and set a poor example for the people they are trying to keep in line. Not only that, but noone in that thread was able to refute my initial post to my satisfaction.

You didn't see what bsobel was pulling. There were other members calling him out on what he was saying to me in terms of the insults.

I could also add that a great number of people "refuse to believe" in God despite evidence that God exists, yet they don't. That doesn't mean I go around calling them trolls. Stubborn, maybe. Troll, no way.

First off. The watercooling thread has Gillbot posting as a member. You really need to stop referring to these members, who happen to be mods, by their titles. Other members in this thread recognize that particular fact and posted so. Mods are allowed to post as members and are entitled to every consideration that you get to post as a member.

If Gillbot called you a troll, he did so as a member, not as a mod so your PFI thread here is false with respect to Gillbot and is inflammatory. Your issues with bsobel? I am not privy to them so you probably best take that one up with Derek.

BTW, your watercooling thread is a borderline troll thread. Your thread title is posted in the format of asking question from the membership.

Is watercooling still better than air cooling?

However, you reply to many of the answers as you either don't believe the answers from the members or that it's not cost efficient or a waste of money (in a nutshell).

As far as I see, your mind was already made up when you posted the thread "question to the members" and you just want to argue/debate them.

While those are our opinions and your welcome to them, they were trolling in context of a user asking a question SPECIFICALLY about Vista vs Windows 7. I told you directly:

You're correct in that I had an opinion before I created the thread. Everyone has an opinion, and the right to one at that. I'm willing to change my perspective, but like I said in the thread, there are examples of $35 heatsinks beating out $75 watercooling setups like what Gillbot has. If he's upset by my pointing that out, that really doesn't give him the right to start name calling.

IMO this whole "mods posting as a member" thing is silly. TBH they should be held to a higher standard than regular members, especially when it comes to flames and personal attacks. They should be setting a good example. It would be like a grade school teacher saying "ok, I'm saying this as a child", and then they go on to act like a silly kid and set a poor example for the class.

Weare NOT held to a higher standard and we are allowed to post here just as freely as you are.

Furthermore, I'm not "upset" by you pointing out anything because you have proven nothing. As I and many others have said in the thread, you cannot compare another users setup to mine because it's not an even comparison.

See, this is what I keep reposting to the membership over and over. I am sorry that you just don't happen to like this particular rule. Fact is, the mods ARE ALLOWED to post as members just as you do, have exactly the same considerations as you get, and ARE NOT held to a higher standard than the rest of the membership when posting as members.

This comes straight down from Derek Wilson. You may voice your disapproval with him but do not create any more threads based on this incorrect way of thinking.

I have never contacted you via PM, in fact PM's from you are currently blocked to me since you started sending me them. You have a clear attitude problem, please do contact Derek.
