I was wondering if anyone here has heard anything about possible modifications that would allow the abit kt7 to run at 266mhz bus speed just like the new abit kt7a? If anyone has any info please let me know.

I dought it! Since the use different chipset's and the one in the KT7 right now runs pretty hot alread so overclocking to to 266 I odn't think it would be able to handel it!

It would be cool though.

Not a chance. Completly different northbridges, different bios, and you don't have a snowballs chance in Cuba to overclock the fsb that much, with the best peltier cooler on the planet.

If you want to run it on the 266 FSB you must to have PC266 RAM. Slots for this ram is different (184 pins ,168pins-PC100)

266 is essentially 2x133sdram. The current 200fsb is 2x100 and uses 168pin sdram. It was featured on akiba a while back. 184pin is for DDR ram.
