modify some ATA100 controllers to enable RAID capability how?

can someone provide link to sites that provide information on modifying regular ata controller to enable RAID capability. can Maxtor eide controller card be modify?

When I get to work, I will give you the site I used (don'thave url at home). They have a good forum for help cause it can be a little funky with the bios flash. It works good though, I did it.

but it will probably not work with maxtor adaptor....i knotice that both site are working with a promise card.....
