Modest GPU upgrade choice

Looking at under-$100 (my budget) options to upgrade from my aging HD 4670, I've pretty much boiled it down to these two:

Asus HD 6670 1GB DDR5
http://www.amazon.com/EAH6670-DIS-1G...DY/ref=lh_ni_t

XFX HD 6670 1GB DDR3
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814150542

I am a casual gamer, single display @1680x1050 (not likely to change this), and will probably never use the HDMI port on either card (haven't yet figured out why I'd use the one on my current card). The XFX card looks to be a good deal with the $25 rebate, but with tax and shipping comes to about what the Asus would be with no tax and Prime (gotta love Amazon); it also has a $10 rebate, so in the end it comes in at $89. So, the main difference is in the memory speed. With my display, am I likely to see the difference between DDR3 vs. DDR5, and is it enough reason to pick the Asus over the rebated XFX? Many thanks.

You won't see big gains from either of those. Even the 6770 is just a rebadge 5770. AMD and Nvidia have neglected the sub-midrange for a few generations now.

You're better off looking at used GTX460/5770/5850 or whatever, or saving some more cash for at minimum a 6850.

Well, then, I'll probably just stick with what I have. It actually performs pretty well on the games I play (with moderate settings), so wait a while and keep my eyes open. Thanks.
