If it takes a lot of explaining, then it's not hilarious.

It wasn't hilarious, but it also didn't need explaining. It was obvious who the video was digging at and what game was being used to do it.

call of duty: point and click with lots of autoaim and there are little to no strategies to the game...

battlefield: destruction to find ways to take control of the map, bullet travel and dropping, vehicles vs footmen require dynamic planning in order to destroy the vehicle, and the list goes on.

While call of duty as 60 fps and maybe more guns and more people playing it, Battlefield generally has the smarter players although it may be arguable. It goes both ways though. Call of duty is in an essence a run and gun game. Battlefield is...a battlefield game. 64 players (32 on consoles) makes a big difference too.

I've only played the sp, my rig stays around 30-45fps so I know mp would lag so I haven't even tried to play it online yet. Waiting for a cpu upgrade before I go online with it

It's like the people who play EVE. They all say how only smart people play it, etc but every time I tried to play it, it was full of people goofing off and making stupid comments and calling each other names and talking about other MMOs.

You might want to check who you are quoting, I've never played blops on pc so I've never said anything about that game being optimized on pc. I played waw on pc years ago and never said it wasn't optimized either. Nice try...

What I meant was there is no reason why ANY of the call of duty games should be playing this bad on PC, Mr. Litteral.

I have waw on Pc, played the steam weekend of Blops, played mw3 on pc...
Game series=not optimized. I believe its an issue specifically with the Quake 3 engine.

It's the Madden of shooters. The fans are happy to spend $60 or more each year for more of the same.

I may not like it, but you can't blame the publisher/devs, they'll keep making them as long as people are willing to give their money.

That doesn't mean anything. People who play Eve are probably generally smarter than the prople who play COD. Same with Starcraft. And I dont play either. COD is the lowest common denominator of gaming at the moment. Popularity and intelligence never seem to go hand in hand. It doesnt mean all COD players are idiots, but they probably have the biggest percentage of them. More in total due to the enormous player base.

It has nothing to do with Q3 engine, its about Activision caring less and less about the PC market.
