Ok so I am not meaning to aggravate a bunch of people, but why would you purchase the same game over and over and over?

I have noticed that PC users stay content with one game for a long amount of time because of community created maps, modifications to the game, etc.

I am saying, why not mod MW1 to have all of MW3's stuff? Its the same exact engine with 0 modifications between releases (no matter what they tell you its a lie! no graphical updates, no physics updates, NOTHING!). All they are selling us are texture packs that can be added via and update!

I'm thinking the thought behind the gif was that BF was going to take down COD, or something like that. Or just blowing up COD, Activision, and Infinity Ward for ruining MW2 on PC. As we have seen in the MW3 vs BF3 head to head, COD is c4 proof, even on PC.

Explanation of Gif:

In battlefield bc2 someone blowing up infinity ward and its developers inside the building.
Thats what makes the gif hillarious. Just wanted to share it with you guys.

The MW3 engine is most definitely upgraded over MW1, nothing revolutionary but the differences are there. Primarily the lighting.

Battlefield 3 looks like it's going to be the first Battlefield to have even a remote shot at challenging Call of Duty. The problem will be next year when the inevitable release of yet another CoD comes, during which time I highly doubt DICE will have anything to counter that with (maybe an expac like BC2's Vietnam...).

regardless, in terms of sales, MW3 already won. But really they both won, their making killer profits, both sold extremely well. Though frankly i think both could have faired a bit better if they seperated their releases further but likely would sell similar in the end.
I much prefer BF3 MP to SP and MW3 SP to MP. So it worked out well for me having both. having a blast in MW3 SP, but too many games and not enough time atm.

you know i just realised something. i can put the differences between the two games in as comparing two other games.

MW3-Checkers
BF3-Chess

Cannot compare the two, other than the fact that Chess can become one extravagantly long game between two smart people, and Checkers are for children.

what is it about BF3 that requires you to be smart?
Chess is only a long game if both parties don't know much depth into book moves. Otherwise it moves along pretty quick.

call of duty: point and click with lots of autoaim and there are little to no strategies to the game...

battlefield: destruction to find ways to take control of the map, bullet travel and dropping, vehicles vs footmen require dynamic planning in order to destroy the vehicle, and the list goes on.

While call of duty as 60 fps and maybe more guns and more people playing it, Battlefield generally has the smarter players although it may be arguable. It goes both ways though. Call of duty is in an essence a run and gun game. Battlefield is...a battlefield game. 64 players (32 on consoles) makes a big difference too.

There is a huge difference between mw1 and mw3. I run mw1 at 90fps and mw3 at 40. Cod4 looks terrible compared to mw3. I installed cod4 today after playing mw3 for the past few nights and the difference is night and day.

Nice try at tolling tho, gotta give ya that much

graphics doesn't make the game. If it did then the Wii would be out of business. and OH WOW THEY ADDED A NEW LIGHTING SYSTEMZZZZORRZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ big whoop. They are still using a refined Quake 3 engine. Upgrade already! Sick of looking at plastic figurines in these call of duty games.
