Too many acronyms I need a translator for that 🙂
Short version:
1. Digital security cameras use digital video streams. There are different stream formats from different cameras.
2. "go2rtc" is an app that can eat any stream & spit out any stream to multiple cameras. That means that the camera only has to send
one native stream out of itself (load load, high reliability) & then go2rtc can use the computer's processing power to convert it to
any format required & to
multiple different recorders (NVR, AI processor, etc.)
3. Frigate is a great free NVR. Basically a digital VCR with basic AI detection built-in. This is packaged as a Docker image (tiny virtual machine, for free!) with go2rtc (stream relay & transcoder) built-in:
NVR with realtime local object detection for IP cameras

4. DeepCamera is a new AI toolset that is state-of-the-art, can run on hardware at home, and is FREE! WAY better than Frigate's built-in AI tools! This also comes with a smart AI agent ("video chatbot"), all 100% local & FREE!!
Aegis watches your Ring, Blink, and RTSP cameras, recognizes your family, spots strangers, and tells you what’s happening — all running locally on your Mac or PC.

You can then relay those triggers to your Home assistant system, Telegram alert system, SMS, email, etc. This is some Eagle Eye,
Jason Bourne level stuff, right at home!!
