Modern Generation Video Card Overclocking

I'm relatively new to the overclocking field, over the summer I took my barton 2500+ to 3200+. I've never overclocked a video card and I had a couple of questions. I'm awaiting an eVGA 6800 Limited Edition 256MB from the Egg, and I wanted to know:

What's the best program to check on the pipelines and vertex shaders, termperatures etc? Rivatuner I assume?

WHat kind of temperatures should I be looking for at stock speeds (325/1100 I'm hoping) and if I pushed it up to the 350/1200 range?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated 🙂

Thanks!

If this is the card you ordered it looks like gpu is 325 memory is 700?
though that seems quite low for memory, so i think its a misprint...

when you receive it, download the latest nvidia drivers of your choice, 66.81 is the fastest, if you have no problems running it

then use coolbits 1 or 2 to enable the overclocking, etc panel in the nvidia display
lets us know what it detects as optimal frequencies,
I'm curious

then there is always nv5 or volt mod
🙂

have fun
