ST. PETERSBURG - Police handcuffed the wrists and legs of a 5-year-old girl at a school this week after the kindergartner attacked a teacher and the assistant principal, officials said.

I am still curious as to why this makes it into the news. Little girl has a temper tantrum. Because she is so small and young, nobody puts her into her place, so she gets worse. When somebody does, everyone goes "oh, isn't that a bit extreme?". Well DUH. Its supposed to be extreme.
When I was her age, my principal had a paddle with my name of it when I got out of line. It was retired when I entered the 1st grade because the courts deemed it cruel. Damn, I wish they'd come back into style...
