Sorry guys (read this too late at night to attend to the contradictions).

It's not the deal we thought it might be.

Again, sorry ........

RossMan...

You may be right .. or ???. (The web page mentioned above is both confusing and contradictory :(.)

If you click on "Long Distance Offer Details and Terms" you'll find
NO requirement that you switch ISPs. Indeed, how could they *switch* if, on their form, they only ask for a User-Name and password?

Yet elsewhere, they mention switching "Internet Access."

As we said, tread lightly. Their form "suggests" they'll provide an "alternate" ISP (again, how could they "terminate" your existing ISP relationship given what they ask you?).

Question: has anyone been able to verify that their claim of removing you from telemarketing lists is true? I followed the link at the bottom of the page, and it ends in a form or you to fill out to be removed from lists, but it requires some sort of kit that you must receive. Anyone done this?

BTW, the front page of that offer pretty clearly states it is a LD + ISP deal, but if you can do it w/o the ISP, I'd be interested to hear it.

From the ICDC Offer Details link:

"Failure to follow the terms of this offer can result in the return of any promotion or even cancellation of service, as allowed or required by law."

Still, $25 back and $.06/min is pretty good. The telemarketing removal is what I'm interested in.
