I would like to add that it is never wise to question mods in a public way like this even if you get no response from PM's and emails.

Nothing will get you banned on ANY board quicker than calling out a mod. 😉

or making a joke about one 😉

Or suggesting that someone is a mod...

The anonemous mod thing sucks IMO, but its here to stay so whatever 😛

Other forums work fine with known mods, why can't AT?
shows what you know. 😛

being an anonymous mod is a MUCH better idea. if the members know you are a mod they take every chance to bug you and call you out on it.

anonymous. hehe. as if.
as if what? 😕

as if we didn't know you are a MOD!!!

😛

i have seen both, anonymous-mod and known-mod boards, and like i've said when the mods are known they get harped on.

A happy medium involving giving each mod a unique identifier (e.g. Mod #3) aside from their normal forum account has been repeatedly suggested and repeatedly shot down with varying degrees of prejudice.

For whatever reason the moderators do not want even the slightest bit of accountability.

We have accountability to Anand and the Administrators, not to regular members. As for being anonymous well that was Anand and the Administrators call too. Many of us haven't a problem with not being anonymous but we have to remain so due to the directive given to us by our superiors.
