Moderate gaming card recommendation

My sister has some moderate priced E Machines box that she got recently that is running onboard graphics. I'm not even really sure of the specs. Her sons are playing games on it, and I wanted to get them a moderate powered card that wouldn't require a new PSU to power (I'm thinking of my own upgrade to an 8800GT requiring a new PSU

I was thinking of an 8600 GT, but can I go further up the line without driving power requirements. Also like to keep it in the $75> range (scrounging on hot deals).

4670 definitely sounds good. Or MB Geforce 9600 GSO for nvidia (though not sure of power requiremetns)

i have a question on the 4670.

Can it run on a 250W PSU?
I have a 1.8ghz daul core running. with 2gb DDR2 and a 320gb samsung HDD. I have no peripherals except a headset and keyboard/mouse(wireless)

Wow, that's kind of cool. Don't know how accurate it is, but it looks reasonable.
