"Modem on hold" by USRobotics? Does this feature work?

This feature is supposed to allow the modem connection to be terminated to allow an incoming call to go through. I have never seen it implemented and a friend would like to know if this feature works and does it work well? Also does the modem connection speed get sacrificed upon the initial connection or reconnection due to this option?

I think your ISP has to support the v.92 standard for this to work.

thats what I thought too when I couldn't get mine to work

however on the usr site it says modem on hold should work even on v90 standard.
All that you need is the modem and call waiting.
