Thanks for your opinions.

I have a cheap (about $20.00 shipped from Newegg) plain Jane Rosewell case that I can mod without much worry. I also have an old Rosewell/Coolmaster? case with a gigantic lucite window in it. I'm thinking about removing the lucite and installing some kind black anodized wire mesh and have a really big opening on the side. Installing larger feet on the bottom and maybe one or two 120 mm cooling fans set low, quiet rpms might work. I will probably have to drill out at least one 120 mm round hole as well.

I've cut several holes using a 4" angle grinder. Just mark the hole with sharpie, and gradually grind all the way around without going all the way through. Then when it is getting really thin, start cutting all the way. I'm sure the Dremel method works just as well, but this is another option. Harbor Freight sometimes has a 4.5" on sale for 10 bucks, and it works pretty well for occasional use.

I've ordered the Corsair H100 liquid cooling system so I have to find a way to hang the radiator. I can mount the unit on the side panel by cutting the lucite window. I've watched some youtube videos and this seems like a viable option.

I may end up buying one of these new cases that are compatible. I really have to get rid of some of my old PC junk.
