My wife got an RCA Lyra2 portable MP3 player...and it's pretty cool. It supports MP3, WMA and RA...but the neat thing is, all the decoding software is stored on the flashcard...and the flash card can be accessed like a floppy disk, with full read/write access...so I'm wondering is there a way to mod the programs on the card so I can just load MP3s on there without using the crappy musicmatch jukebox, which limits the bitrate to 128kbps CBR and adds some annoying MPX security to the files...which is pointless. It won't play MP3s that are not in MPX format. The mp3 program on the flashcard is only 70KB in size...there's gotta be a way...and maybe a version of MAD MP3 Decoder could be put on there. :)

this should really go in the peripherals section of the forums. You should have better luck over there.
