Modding my PC case

Hey fellas, not that I'm trolling but I've posted this in GH, high tech, and Case & cool coz this applies to all.

First off, i saw a luminglas display for $20 at frys and thought it was really cool. I wanted to buy it but didn't at the moment. No biggie.

(just an image, wasn't exactly like the frys one)
Plasma Luminglas

Since the creation of my machine a few months back, I've been hitting it up with blacklights n UV innards for fun. I thought of cool idea to put the luminglas in the right panel, as its just a boring old black face.

My questions are as followed:
1. The plug of the glass is a standard wall outlet plug (is it called DC? i dono, im noobish). the glass maybe 4" to 10" in diameter, I have to figure that out. Can i strip the wire and attach it to a PSU accordingly?

2. I have a 430W PSU. Anyone who owns one of these know if its a power guzzler?

3. I've no idea how to use a dremel, but pure excitement helps me ignore that.

If all goes well and this crazy idea gets off the ground, instant pic for all (even if this idea isnt original =/ )

Your thread was locked in the GH forum... although I'm not sure why!

If the glass has a regular plug, then it runs on AC, not DC (which your computer runs on). Just wire it to a plug on your case, then you'll have two power cables to your machine, instead of just one. That would be far easier than trying to set up a DC -> AC converter inside your case.

thx raider. I plan to do this

What do you mean wire it a plug on your case? Like have its plug run out of the case to an outlet?
