Mod, i need help :] please

Hi mod, there seem to be a problem of updating my profile, the old email i have in there is from the old isp
and whenever i try to update it, it said something is blocking me from it ... so i was wondering wat happens to it

Your problems with posting are of your own making. When you continued to register new accounts, we banned some of your email addresses along with your user names and a number of IP addresses. Your current registered address was originally assigned to another of your accounts.

When we unlocked your account, we had to trace all the items YOU caused us to ban. We obviously missed some of them. I have now unlocked your email address, and I think I got all the IP addresses uniquely associated with your accounts.

you may be trying to change it to one of the many banned E-mail services here at anandtech. here is strait from the FAQ an explination and small list of banned E-mail domains. it would help to know what your trying to change it to (what domain?)

3. If you receive a message saying your E-Mail address is banned, you can contact the forum moderator to question why. Below is a list of E-mail services that were banned due to abuse, and will not be re-activated upon user request.

AOL
Bigfoot
Excite
Gotoworld
Hotmail
Nightmail
Whitehouse
Yahoo
All domains operated by portofevil.com, aka evilemail.com

4. In addition to the above, all of AOL's system is banned from the forums; this includes their IP addresses. This means that even if you sign up with a different E-mail address, you will not be able to post if you connect to the internet using their service.

umm im using mindspring tho .. that's the email address i want to input in..

Mindspring.com is not banned as an e-mail address. There is no reason for you to get that message if using @mindspring.com. Please PM us with the exact address and we will look in to it.

gypsymoth: Look up toward the top of the screen. You should see some buttons that read "New Topic," "Customize," "Profile," "Search," etc. The button you're looking for is "New Topic." Click it in the appropriate forum to post a topic in that forum.
