Moby's new album sounds pretty good so far

18 is the new album. I, like many others, was taken aback when his last one came out and put him on the charts. Very original stuff (to me anyway!) and most of it was top-shelf. I've been listening to his new album for an hour or so and so far seems pretty darn solid.

The video he made for "We are all made of Stars" is like a whos who of "we use to be popular" pretty funny idea. I have yet to hear the new album, but I liked Play alot, maybe I should check this one out.

Most of the buttheads here are probably creaming their shorts listening to "Puddle of Mudd" and "Cold".

thanks for the heads up, sounds pretty good, however the girl on track 2 (in this world) gave me a bit of a headache, (lots of high pitches)

I like that song! I also like Sunday(the day before my birthday) probably the most so far.

heh, looked at your profile (was gonna rate you a 10 for the heads up, but no rating, anyways, I used to live in Hazel Green over 5 years ago...wonder how it looks now.

edit: yep, Sunday is pretty good. I like In My Heart (3)

I just went for a drive to listen to it some more. I'm really starting to like this. I had to turn my rating off so that it wouldn't get ruined by spiteful members since it seems most people only vote when they're mad at a guy. :Q

I want him to make another album like the hard stuff on Animal Rights and maybe another like Voodoo Child - The End Of Everything.

I just saw the "Stars" video the other day.. very strange. I like his music, though I've been introduced to it only recently and haven't heard too much of it. I really like "Porcelain" 🙂

I agree to an extent with your post, because most rock today sucks, but the greater paradox is the fact that Moby is more marketed with huge corporations than any of today's rock bands. His album, Play, has every single song sold to a major coporation to use in a commericial or video because they want to look hip and trendy for all the mindless teenyboppers. The truth is, while Moby does have talent, I find it hard to listen to his work without being reminded to purchase something.

well i've only heard "in my heart" so far and it does r0x0r. it grows on you...ive listened to it on repeat like 7 times now

After listening to the whole album many times I would just like to ****CONFIRM**** that it owns!

The best songs (IMO):

-In my heart
-Signs of Love
-Extreme Ways
-Look Back In

of course every song is good in its own way but those four stand out. to me.

Moby fan here. Dont have the new one, but I think his best album was the one titled "moby". Best song on that album was "help me to believe" & "electricity".

Have you heard his "Star wars remix?" great. great.

Good picks.

I also like
- in this world
- the rafters
- sunday (day before my birthday)

The only song I don't like is "we are all made of stars". The others tickle my fancy.
