Mobo's with PCI-E

If the motherboard has PCI-E like MSI Neo4 Platinum, is there a specific PSU required for it? More specifically, is there a special connection that the PSU must have for it?

Special connection, yes, but you can get adapters for the 24-pin ATX (20-to-24-pins) and PCIe (combine two 4-pin molexes for 6-pin PCIe) connectors. They'll be safe to use if the PSU is of sufficient quality.

It's a good time to a upgrade to a better and more compatible PSU if you're still using the PSU that came w/ the $25 case.

Any suggestions for a reliable, not-so-expensive PSU that has all those special connections already?
